We’ve been trying out a relatively new service called Chef’s Plate over the past couple of months and we are LOVIN’ IT.
What’s Chef’s Plate?
The Canadian company creates tasty “restaurant quality” recipes and then ships you all of the ingredients in refrigerated packaging for you to cook at home. They offer 6 recipes a week to choose from, with two “meal plans” to suit your food requirements.
It’s a TOTALLY flexible plan – you do not have to order every week. You can skip orders whenever you want. Terrific customer service too!
We get the Two Person Plan with 2 meals per week. (There is a small shipping charge of $6.00 for that plan only, the other ones have free shipping)

This is a great service for busy people who like good food and interesting preparation. There is no wasted food (how many times have you thrown out a bunch of slimy cilantro because you only needed a little bit for a recipe?) The cost is less than a restaurant meal and the quality is awesome. You get to try out new ingredients that you might not even be able to buy locally. Plus you get out of the rut of cooking the same old tried and true (and boring) dishes.
