Want to tickle your funny bone?

I was tickled pink when I saw this lovely inscription on a book that I recently purchased online. I know Cynthia Barlow, the author on a personal level, so it meant a lot.

When I heard about her book, I was hooked. It’s called “How Deep Is Today”, a bedtime story for grown-ups. I love Cynthia’s energy. She’s very clever and has a great sense of humour too.

I knew that it would tickle my adult funny bone (and my ‘fancy’ too).  So I placed a pre-order right away. I ordered a second copy as a gift for a friend.

“Lighthearted yet deeply moving, Cynthia’s wisdom and sass combine with stunning original illustrations to bring this awe-inspiring poem to life in a style reminiscent of the late great Seuss. Think of it as a bedtime story for grown-ups. Because, just like children, we all deserve to have sweet dreams at the end of a long day.”

The books arrived in my mail yesterday. It is hot off the presses and I am sharing it with you. I’ve read it over coffee.  I’ve read it out loud to myself.  I smile every time.  I even ‘treated’ my husband to a poetic reading.

Here’s a link to the website for Cynthia’s book:     www.howdeepistoday.com

You can check out the details there. Place an order too. By all means, sign up for her for “Sunday Seussian Sayings” delivered every Sunday by email.  They’re super little pick me ups!

NOTE:  I do NOT receive any payment, should you decide to order. I want you to add some ‘Seussian Style’  joy to your life and the lives of others.

If you’d like a ‘feel’ for Cynthia and her style – here’s a short video clip of her reading a bit from her book:
