Believe it or not, it’s about a new doll – one that you have NEVER seen before. I’ve just purchased one of the first edition dolls to give to an important little girl in my life. But this is more than just another doll.

The name Lammily comes from combining the last name of the creator ‘Lamm’ and the ‘ily’ comes from the word ‘family’. This is not the doll’s name – it’s the ‘type’ of doll. When a doll is purchased you are directed to ‘name’ your doll and go to the Lammily Doll website to create and print out her passport. How cool is that!!
Nickolay Lamm used crowdsourcing to fund the first edition of this doll. In less than a month he had over 13,000 backers who ordered over 17,000 dolls. I just received a shipping confirmation for the doll that I ordered – it will make a little girl I love very happy this Christmas. My dream is that she will realize that she is beautiful and will have a healthy body image her entire life. Just so you know the plans are that male dolls will also be created (just like the little boy in the video suggested) as well as various ethnic dolls.
