I confess – “I AM A BOOKAHOLIC”
A more academic word would be ‘bibliophile’. Six of one, half dozen of the other.
In 2013 I discovered the CUTEST ‘Teeny-Tiny Library”. It’s right beside the rural mail boxes at Kennisis Lake, where we enjoy our cottage. I did a blog in June of that year about this magic little library. (click here if you want to read it)
TA – DA!!!! Update on Teeny-Tiny Library for 2016
For three summers, I’ve picked up amazing books from this tiny, woodsy ‘bookshelf’. On our recent final cottage visit for the season – I hit the BONANZA. Look at my find! THREE terrific ones. AND the ‘Dublin Saga’ is one that Roger had just said he wanted to read. GO FIGURE!!

This library’s rule is: ‘Take a book, leave a book” Pretty simple. BUT I wanted to read all THREE. SOOOOOOOO – I returned the next day with my ‘donations’ in hand. Here’s the proof:
Here I am making my deposit of 3 books back to the library. I wonder if this little treasure is maintained year round. I’ll have to ask some questions next season. I’m intrigued.
For now, I am working on some plans to create a ‘teeny-tiny library’ in our neighbourhood. It’s a great way to share the joy of reading with kindred souls. As they say – ‘What goes around – comes around”.
Tell me where you have ‘found/discovered’ a few book treasures in your life. I think it would make an interesting article to share these stories. I am finding that it’s very ‘QUIRKY’ how some books wind up in our lives. If you will share your story – it may end up in one of my ‘Quirky’ columns.

Hi Leanne
These little libraries look amazing.
I have seen one on the main street in Cobden and have also read about one outside a Church for the entire community’s use.
