How to get a bit fit with or without a ‘Fitbit’

Until last Christmas Day, I had no idea there was something called a ‘Fitbit’. My husband decided I’d get a kick out of using this invention – to track my sleep.

Here it is – adorning my arm.  It’s an activity tracker (or sleep tracker).  I won’t go into all it’s wonders – but it has got me hooked.  I tried the sleep monitor – however I don’t like wearing it to bed. I don’t sleep well with stuff strapped to my arms.

But the ‘steps taken’ per day have got my attention.  I compete with myself to make sure I always hit my minimum daily limit.  If I’m falling behind my goal, I go for walks (sometimes just marching around the house).  But today I discovered that a ‘dance break’ works just as well and is WAAAAAY more fun!

So here’s my favourite dance video for you to try out.  I feel like I’m dancing around the world with friends in every country.  The beat is infectious and I love the lyrics.

Give it a whirl for yourself.  I guarantee that the 4 minutes and 23 seconds will fly by.  I suggest that you watch the video at least once.  You’ll see some great dance moves to add to your own performance.
