This is twofold. One – it keeps our business fresh and on the leading edge. Two – it keeps me motivated and able to flex my creative muscles.
We’re calling our latest addition Foto-Fusion.
It’s a blend of photography and art that produces an outstanding montage of images. I capture many great images during a photo session these days. That makes it hard to narrow the choices down to one stunning image. That’s where Foto-Fusion comes in.
We chose 4 or 5 dynamic images and then I set to work blending them into one final image. I use various techniques to create an artistic design. One image becomes the focal point. I place and blend the others to enhance the overall design.
The finished piece is usually mounted as a stretched canvas “gallery wrap”. This becomes a centrepiece in any home or office.
The technique works best for single subjects. They work great for athletes. They are wonderful for sessions with a person and their favourite animal (horses, dogs, even cats).
The sample here was done for Lianne as a birthday gift. We did a portrait session with her horse Gracie at Westar Farms last year. I needed something to try this out on and I got big “brownie points” for the finished portrait.
