I AM NOT!
BUT – I read a news story about a brilliant Clown Protest group. The story happened TEN YEARS ago! There’s a true lesson to be learned from ‘clowning around’. What a terrific way to ‘defuse’ the kind of violence we’ve seen lately.
I know that some people are scared of clowns. But this group is definitely not the ‘SCARY’ type. Instead these clowns remove the ‘hostility’ factor. Funny clowns don’t foster hate and violence. Laughter is their effective ‘weapon’ of peace.
It tickled my fancy when I read this article titled “Clowns Kicked KKK Asses”. My spirits were lifted and it made me realize that humour is often the best defense. It must be used intelligently and not to belittle. I think this story has a lot to teach all of us.
It also taught me a brand new word (see below). I had never heard it till I read this story. I actually thought it was a typo in the story. So prepare to be even further enlightened.
