When I see a clever bit of advertising, it makes my day! What about you????
Because we are all overwhelmed with so much ‘garbage grade’ advertising – the clever stuff jumps right out at us and grabs our attention. The great stuff is usually subtle yet POWERFUL!! In an instant we can be dancing, laughing, singing or crying! The message is often ‘under the radar’. It’s the feelings or the insights that wrap their tentacles around us and usually make me say a very ‘out loud’ WOW!!
Ikea is no slouch when it comes to marketing and advertising. I’ve admired many of their ads over the years. BUT – this year’s advertisement for their “BookBook” is absolutely brilliant. At a time when we are all feeling inundated with technology’s hold on our lives – this commercial is definitely a breath of fresh air.
