What’s your ‘go-to’ breakfast food? How often are eggs part of your start to the day?
If you’re like me, they tended to be a ‘Sunday Brunch’ kind of treat. Usually with bacon, OF COURSE.
I learned that they shouldn’t be eaten too much. WHY? Because for decades, the advice was that the cholesterol in eggs is bad for you. Turns out that’s not true.
I learned this last year when I went to a certified nutritionist for advice on improving my diet. I thought I was healthy eater. But my sleep patterns were getting weird and I wanted an overhaul.
One key area that the nutritionist focused on was breakfast. He wanted more protein in my breakfast than what I was eating. He recommended eggs as a large component. I threw the ‘cholesterol’ concern at him and he presented updated research info, to the contrary.
Needless to say – eggs are now a BIG part of our breakfast menu. Can’t imagine going back to the ‘old’ breakfast ways of cereal, toast, yogurt, etc.
Last week I came across a terrific post about the nutritional benefits of eggs. WOW – it was even more enlightening. It’s short and to the point. Click here for 10 Top Tips on egg nutrition.
You’d be crazy not to read this – the benefits are just too compelling to ignore. Prepare to be surprised with the info.
If you’re a skeptic or just like to ‘check the facts’, here’s another link a Dr. Mercola article:
