Oh no! I think I’ve caught the “travel bug”.
Not the intestinal kind you get from traveling – the kind that makes you want to travel!
I’ve never liked to travel. The thought of going somewhere strange and different has never appealed to me. I tend to like to know what’s happening and going to happen. Nobody would ever call me an adventurer.
But recently I have been getting an itch to travel more. Maybe it’s got something to do with the recent passing of a dear friend who was a world traveler. There were pictures of him in lots of spots around the world. He had a blast petting tigers, riding camels, traveling with friends and family. He knew who to have fun. Maybe it’s because time is marching on and I’m not getting any younger. I feel like it’s time to see a bit more of the world.
Whatever the reason, I don’t think there’s a cure for the travel bug. All you can do is experience it, appreciate it and share it with others.
It’s been almost ten years since we last took an extended vacation to Italy and Paris. Looking back on that trip, it was a fun experience full of great memories.
I guess it’s time to explore some travel options and get to it! I’ll keep you posted on what I find! Ireland will be on my bucket list.
