How creativity makes aging fun and graceful

YIKES, I thought I talked fast.  But last night I heard a rapid fire speech from a man named Ben Platt.  He’d just won Best Leading Actor in a Musical at the Tony Awards.  WOW did he deliver a verbal punch with his final words on stage:

“To all young people watching at home, don’t waste any time trying to be like anybody else because the things that make you strange are the things that make you powerful,”

His words got me thinking about a stunning little film (7 minutes) that I discovered.  It’s called “Alike”.  It grabs you right away and shows the DEADENING effect of society’s norms on creative spirit.  Take a look and you’ll see and feel it for yourself.   Click here or on the image below:

It’s obvious how important creativity is to living a great life.  As the movie shows – regardless of age, creativity is what makes life FULL of fun and wonder.

A wee bit of  ‘googling’ led me to a couple of articles that drive home this point.  Below are the links – just click.  Check them both out for inspiration and ideas.
