I love hummus for all kinds of reasons. First and foremost – it’s very tasty. Secondly it’s a great quick snack on a cracker or piece of cucumber (if gluten or calories are an issue). Awesome lunches can come together in a snap with a nice bowl of soup and hummus spread all over your favourite hummus holder.
I take it to parties and folks love it as an appetizer. I just take a big bag of corn chips or crackers and party goers keep coming back to the hummus bowl for fill-ups.
I recently came across a very clever post called the ‘Definitive Guide to Hummus’. It has great graphics, simple instructions and shows 13 different variations on the hummus theme. Did you know that hummus may reduce cancer risks by 50% – you’ll find out why in the cool article that goes with the chart. After looking at the 13 suggestions, it also gave me some ideas for concoctions of my own. So here’s the link: http://complete-health-and-happiness.com/13-different-ways-to-make-hummus/
The graphic below shows you the first two combinations – but click on the image and you’ll get the full version with all thirteen. I screenshot the entire guide and then printed a copy for my favourite stack of recipes in the kitchen. Make sure you pass this post on to your family and friends too.
If you are already a big hummus fan – please share your own special recipe with us. We’ll make sure that we pass it on in a future newsletter. We also love tabouli – goes great with hummus, so we’d love to get some recipes for that too.
