Anyone who knows us well, knows that we are night hawks not early morning people. Believe it or not – the times they are a changin’.
Last November we were approached by a friend and former photographer colleague, Sue Bird, to take a look at a fun and dynamic group in Stittsville. She invited us to attend a meeting as she thought we would be a good fit. We said sure! Then we found out the meetings were every Thursday morning – at 8:00 am!
We attended the first meeting and after experiencing the camaraderie, sharing and enthusiastic welcome from the group, we decided to join. We aren’t morning people, but meeting with exceptional people from many different businesses has been a very rewarding experience. Plus we’ve seen some fantastic winter sunrises. How cool is that!
To be successful in business today, we need to be on the lookout for new business opportunities and new people to meet. We are keen members of both the Smiths Falls and Perth Chambers of Commerce But in today’s world, there is a need to expand horizons.

However we have gained lots of inside knowledge from a CPA, an investment advisor, a mortgage agent, several health and wellness specialists, a lawyer, a travel agent, a contractor about renovations, and a computer IT company, just to name a few.
