Children, colourful costumes & a wee bit of chaos– all combine on a yearly basis at the Perth School of Dance’s annual Photo Day with lots of fun and laughter. We are very fortunate to enjoy a long term relationship with this amazing Dance School that is owned and operated by Svetlana Timtsenko.
For over fifteen years, we have been the School’s official photographer. Recently, there was a magical ‘like mother, like daughter’ moment when Svetlana’s daughter, Zoya appeared for her first dance recital photograph. What a cutie – just like her MOM!!

Below are a few photos taken on the big ‘Photo Day’ that happened the beginning of May. It will give you a wee bit of the fabulous Circus flavour of the upcoming Dance Recital – “Mila and Roma Save Circus FantaZio”. Every year Svetlana creates an original themed show for the recital. Audiences are amazed with wonderful Broadway Musical style of the show. You can purchase tickets online for your choice of three performances – Thu. May 22, Fri May 23 or Sat May 24.

We haven’t missed one of these shows in all the years we’ve been involved with the Dance School. In fact this year we exchanged our tickets for a National Arts Centre theatre production – just to make sure we didn’t miss our own home-grown dance talent. That’s just how good these shows are.
Kids and costumes ALWAYS make great stories. Do you have one or do you know one? We’d love to hear your story about wearing a costume as a kid – whether for Halloween, a play, dance recital, skating show – whatever. Please share it below in the ‘reply’ section.
