Why would every November weekend when we have to ‘fall back’ and lose Daylight Saving time be so memorable at Arranel Studios??
Because it’s become an annual tradition for the last 16 years to photograph all the young gymnasts at the Smiths Falls Gymstar Club. Their leader, Amy Callan is an awesome teacher and leader. Her assistant coaches and the children are an inspiring group. In the photo below you can check out part of the Club’s ‘Wall of Fame’.
Each year we create and donate two special plaques to honour the Gymstar coaching team as well as all the class participants. After all those years they have a very large collection of images. It’s great fun seeing the children grow from year to year.
Roger always enjoys the day and both the parents and the kids get a kick out of all his antics to get the smiles and great poses. The children will often remember his funny duck noises and goofy faces when they see him year after year. Take a look at Roger, the comedian at work below!!

Let’s all have some fun and leave comments/stories below about the crazy, zany, funny stuff that you have seen Roger do at weddings, family portraits or with kids groups. The best story (but it has to be TRUE!!) will win some ‘FUNNY FACE’ time with Roger while he treats you to lunch. If you’re from out of town – we’ll come up with something else that’s FUNNY – cause that’s what Roger’s good at!!
