Will you call me crazy after you read this story?
Recently I sent a card to thank a dentist and her assistant who actually made it fun to have my tooth filled. I’m pretty sure they were totally surprised to get a thank you card in the mail! Here’s the story behind the card
A small bit of filling broke off my tooth. UGH – gotta go to the dentist!! A quick assessment by my regular dentist confirmed it wasn’t a small fix. It was late Friday afternoon – he said to set up an appointment for the following week and then he said ‘wait a minute”. He quickly returned announcing that the new dentist could fit me in NOW and it would be all looked after with no concern for further problems developing over the weekend.
If you read the note above in my card you will realize that the I had a great time getting my tooth filled! In fact our laughing (even with all that dental gear in my mouth) caught the attention of others in the office (I think they wanted to join in). Laughing isn’t something that you hear often in a dental office (unless they’re dispensing the ‘happy gas’).
I had a big smile on my face sending them this card and I’m pretty sure they got quite a chuckle when they opened the envelope.
