Believe it or not – Thanksgiving can make you healthier

‘Tis the season for anything but ‘bah humbug’. Turns out Thanksgiving is the ‘favourite feast of psychologists’ because of its ability to develop an attitude of gratitude.  I discovered a great link from a colleague in California.  It’s from the New York Times and is titled “A Serving of Gratitude May Save the Day”.  It’s an inspiring and uplifting read as we head towards Thanksgiving weekend.  You might want to pass this post on to all your family members before Thanksgiving dinner – it might make for a less dysfunctional family gathering!!  Imagine if the entire dinner table was filled with an awesome ‘attitude of gratitude’.

Speaking of the marvels of gratitude  – you might want to actually ‘do something’ to get yourself into that super healthy state. I can recommend something that I did myself last year.  It was fun, it was economical and it made 30 special people feel terrific.  Everyday I had the opportunity to lift my own spirits too.  It’s called the “Gratitude Challenge” and I recommend it highly!   You could even make it a family affair and involve the kids too!   Check out the details in the short video below:
