Roger’s not the only photographer here

I’ve been doing my best ever ‘Tigger’ bounces these days since I made my first ‘SALE’ of a photograph that I alone created.  Roger and I work together in our studio – but he is the ‘Master’ photographer – not me!  The fact that I created an image that a friend wanted to buy and hang in her home was very, very cool!

If  you’ve got a moment – here’s the ‘Reader’s Digest’ story version of my most recent success…..

Lianne-PrintEven as a kid, I liked ‘taking pictures’ and my Dad, who was a bit of a photo nut always encouraged me!  Roger too, has always supported me ‘playing around with photography’ and told me that I have a ‘good eye’ (I can thank my Mum’s artistic genes for that).  It’s apparently something that can’t really be taught – you either have it or you don’t.

Eventually Roger tweaked my confidence and camera skills to the point that I became the ‘impromptu’ style photographer for our top of the line wedding services.  Our customers loved my ‘behind the scenes / accents & details’ images that enhanced all of Roger’s beautiful and classic wedding portraits.

So on our big trip to Italy and Paris is 2007 – I went CRAZY photographing everything from chickens to cathedrals.  Got some fabulous shots – in fact between the two of us we have over 2000 great images (edited down from more than that).  We still need to put our own beautiful photo album together to rekindle the memories.  However, like the cobbler’s children, our project is on a back burner as we help our clients with their photo memories.

BUT – during our trip to Europe, I must admit that I created a lot of great photographs,  all on my trusty ‘point & shoot’.  My absolute favourites were created at the Carnavalet Museum in Paris.  What a lucky find it was for photographic inspiration.  So this BIG print is from the Carnavalet.  There is another horizontal version that is also stunning and we have it hanging in our den.

We have just added these images and some others to our Gallery Art section on our Arranel Studios website where you can purchase them for yourself or as gifts for family and friends.  When our ‘RE-Newed’ website is launched in the next month or so – we plan to gradually add more images that we love and hope that you do too!
