Every once in a while (and it’s becoming more often) we are asked to create some crazy things with photography.
Norm Adams of A.D.A.M.S. & Assoc. has been our accountant for 30+ years. He is anything but your typical accountant. So when Norm suggested he wanted us to recreate a shot of him as “The Most Interesting Man in the World” we weren’t surprised.
Here’s how I did it.
Norm arrived at the studio dressed for the part (other than his daughter’s wedding, this is the only time I have ever seen him wear a tie). I had a sample photo to go by so I lit and posed Norm at a table in the studio.
And then…it was off to Photoshop. Removing the background was the first step.
I searched for a stock photo of a classy library type background and then dropped that in behind him.
The desk top didn’t match the tone of the rest of the woodwork so I toned that down.
Then for the final touch I added his trademark dachshund “Charles” to complete the image.
What did he use it for? One thing he did was post it to his Facebook page and website as a meme.
As we said…not your typical accountant.
Norm and his staff are always looking for new clients for both their bookkeeping services and tax accounting. Norm has saved ourselves and our families thousands of dollars over the years. It’s great to know we’ve got someone like Norm in our corner if CRA ever comes a callin’!
